PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a license management system that can reduce unauthorized software use while facilitating a license acquisition procedure. SOLUTION: The software license management system 1 has a cellular telephone website server 10, a software vendor terminal 20, a personal computer 31, a cellular telephone 32 capable of data communication with the personal computer 31, software 33 installed in the personal computer 31, and a communication network 60 for connecting the cellular telephone website server 10, software vendor terminal 20 and cellular telephone 32, and the cellular telephone website server 10 manages a management number of the cellular telephone 32 and a serial number of and a license for the software 33. The use of the cellular telephone 32 capable of personal identification as a license key can facilitate a license acquisition procedure and reduce unauthorized software use.
