A pharmaceutical composition in the form of a suspension comprises oxcarbazepine and a mixture (1.25 - 1.95 %(g/ml)) of carboxymethylcellulose and microcrystalline cellulose. The composition has, when shaken, a viscosity of 5 - 52 mPa.s. Independent claims are included for the following: (A) a container having a fill volume of 50 - 300 ml comprising the composition and a dosing syringe adapted to fit the container; and (B) prevention or treatment of primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures and partial seizures, with or without secondary generalization, by administering the composition.
