METHOD FOR PRODUCING REINFORCED POLYPHENYLENE ETHER RESIN COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve productivity and production stability without degrading physicalities of a reinforced polyphenylene ether resin composition. SOLUTION: The method for producing the reinforced polyphenylene ether resin composition comprises melt-kneading a mixture including 20-98.5 mass% by mass of a polyphenylene ether powder (A), 1-60 mass% by mass of an inorganic filler powder (B) and 0.5-20 mass% by mass of a thermoplastic resin (C) having a functional group by using a two-axial extruder having a barrel whose length is 800 mm or greater wherein the initial 45-80% length from a supplying port of the raw material to a discharging port of the extruding resin in the barrel of the extruder is a non-melting mixing zone in which the polyphenylene ether does not melt.
