PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety by certainly preventing a battery from flying out to the outside when a cover plate is removed due to impact of crash, and certainly preventing a cover plate of a second case which is a shock absorbing portion from separating due to the impact of the crash. SOLUTION: In the power source device for vehicle, the case mounted on a vehicle is composed of a first case 1A and the second case 1B, and the battery driving a motor for making the vehicle travel is stored in the first case 1A. The power source device separates the first case 1A and the second case 1B by the impact of the crash, and presses in the second case 1B under the first case 1A to tilt the first case 1A. Furthermore, the power source device fixes the cover plate 4 on an upper surface of the first case 1A, thereby blocking the upper surface of the first case by the cover plate 4.
