PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of jobs, by saving switchover time and troublesome input work in switching over to an application tool. SOLUTION: In switching over to an application, an appropriate address is extracted from a database and an appropriate application is automatically activated by the use of an address book 74, in which all the address data, such as the telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, URLs, IP addresses, and camera numbers are stored, a partial address search processing section 75 for searching an address used by each tool from the address book 74, and a dialer program 73 comprising a part which activates the tool by giving the searched address to the tool.
