PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating aluminum nitride scrap where aluminum nitride scrap can be safely treated with water without causing environmental problems. SOLUTION: Aluminum nitride scrap 6 is stored in a bag 2, thereafter, a prescribed amount of water 5 is poured into the bag, and the bag is installed in a temperature control tank 1 through which a fluid 7 to be a heat transfer medium (represented by water) is circulated, and is made to react with the water.
