<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging apparatus wherein flare is reduced by resulting in alias. <P>SOLUTION: The solid-state imaging apparatus is provided with a substrate 1 having a placement 6 for a solid-state imaging device 2 on its upper surface, a side wall which is provided on the upper surface of the substrate 1 in a manner to surround the placement 6, a light shielding member 4 which is provided inside the side wall in a manner to cover the solid-state imaging device 2 and wherein a light transmitting window 4' is formed just above the solid-state imaging device 2, and a translucent cover 5 which is fitted onto the upper surface of the side wall.
