PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device in which an optical pickup can perform access to a target position even when it is inclined and occurrence of a noise can be suppressed even when the optical pickup collides against an inner peripheral wall. SOLUTION: The optical pickup recording or reproducing information to or from an optical disk is provided with an acceleration detecting means for carrying out high-speed access of itself, and the acceleration detecting means detects acceleration in a moving direction and the tilt of the optical pickup, thereby controlling the tracking direction of the optical pickup and the moving speed of an actuator on the basis of the detected tilt information of the optical pickup.
