摘要	<p>The flashing stoplight on a motor vehicle has a metal core (2) installed in an inertia switch (1) and movable in the longitudinal direction of the motor vehicle. The metal core is positioned in a neutral position by a contact spring (3) and a compression spring (4). The metal core has a movable contact surface (5) and the inertia switch has a fixed contact surface (6). The spring constants of the compression spring and the mass of the metal core are matched to each other so that during emergency braking the two contact surfaces are closed.</p>
