The locking link, to lock two chain links together, is composed of two identical C-shaped half-sections (4,5) coupled together by a lock (6) and security units (7). Their longitudinal flat sides (11) are fitted with projecting plugs (14) and holes (15) to fit together. The lock is inserted into the gap between the ends of the C-shapes to fit around a bolt pin (13) and be secured in place.
