An LED lighting device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to extend a lifespan of the LED lighting device by discharging heat by using both heat convection and heat conduction. An LED lighting device includes at least one LED(Light Emitting Diode)(410), a reflective plate(420), a base portion(450), and plural first apertures(470). The LED serves as an optical source. The reflective plate reflects the light, which is emitted from the LED, to a predetermined angle. The base portion receives power from outside. A cover frame is formed outside of the reflective plate and the base portion, such that the reflective plate and the base portion are protected. The first aperture is formed on the cover frame and exposes an outer periphery of the reflective plate to outside.
