<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measurement system employing an RFID. <P>SOLUTION: This system and method for making measurements using RFID systems (10, 80) includes transceivers (12, 82), transponders (20, 40, 92, 94) and a sensor configured within the transponder. The transceivers are configured to transmit and receive radio frequency signals. The transponders are configured to receive the radio frequency signals from the transceivers, and to transmit the radio frequency signals to the transceivers, and provided with a sensor (60).
