<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain degradation of a fuel cell due to gas supply delays. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system, with a hydrogen pressure control valve H9 fitted in a fuel supply channel 74 to supply hydrogen to the fuel cell through, is provided with a determining part 5b for determining the pressure control delay of the hydrogen pressure control valve H9, based on an output of a pressure sensor P9 measuring downstream pressure of the hydrogen pressure control valve H9.
