PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure volume with high accuracy, even when an item to be measured, such as a liquid fuel, etc. runs short in a container, as in a relatively big tank, including a liquid fuel tank. SOLUTION: An apparatus for measuring a volume includes a second container arranged in a first container, in which the thing to be measured which is, for example, liquid fuel is held, a guide means which guides the item to be measured in the second container, a resonance tube which communicates with external space from an internal space of the second container, a sound wave generating means for generating sound wave in the internal space of the second container, and a processing means for obtaining the volume of the item to be measured in the internal space of the second container.
