PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray inspection device for automatically setting an accurate mask region and accurately detecting foreign matters existing at the edge section of a can, or the like. SOLUTION: In the X-ray inspection device, an inner region setting section 31b sets a region inside the edge section of the can for an X-ray image created by an image formation section 31a. For the region, an expansion region setting section 31c allows a circle having a radius of 3 mm to turn in a peripheral direction so that it is in contact with the outside of the region and sets an expansion region with the locus of the center of the circumscription circle as a boundary, and a reduced region setting section 31d allows a circle having the same radius to turn in a peripheral direction so that it is in contact with the inside of the expansion region and sets a reduced region with the locus of the center of the inscription circle as a boundary. A mask region setting section 31e sets the outside of the boundary of the reduced region as a mask region and a first foreign matter inspection section 31g inspects the mixture of foreign matters for an inspection region inside the mask region set by an inspection region setting section 31f.
