PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption of a gas pressure monitoring system in a tire comprising a pressure sensor in the tire, a tire pressure measuring module for transmitting data outside the tire by using radio, and a monitoring device for receiving data from the tire pressure measuring module. SOLUTION: The monitoring device transmits control data to the module within a specified time after receiving a measured value from the tire pressure measuring module. Accordingly, the module can receive the control data only for a short time after the measured value is transmitted at a specified interval or when detecting an abnormal value, and maintains a sleep state after the short time and suppresses power consumption to a limit. A data length transmitted from the module is set to be a plurality of short data lengths and a simple shape of a short data length is transmitted at a normal time. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
