PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a book with an IC tag which is free from damage during its circulation, although the type of the book is limited to a deluxe edition, and can be practically used in view of simple manufacture and acceptable price. SOLUTION: This book with an IC tag has a groove 3 formed between a spine 1 and a cover 2, and also has the tape-like IC tag or inlet 10 attached to the entire length of the inner part of the groove 3. Since the IC tag or inlet 10 is accommodated in the groove 3 as a unique space part of a rectangular parallelopiped shape of the book, no damage occurs to the IC tag or inlet 10, in case whatever external force is applied to the book during circulation, hence a high reliability accredited to the IC tag or inlet 10. In addition, since the mass-produced low-cost IC tag or inlet 10 is attached to the entire length of the groove 3, the IC tag or inlet 10 can be practically used along with such advantages as its simple manufacture and acceptable cost.
