<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide viscosity regulator for food a small amount of which is added to food and drink containing ≥70mg of minerals per 100g of the food and drink so as to rapidly develop viscous behavior within such a short time never possible in the conventional granular products containing xanthan gum having an average granular diameter of ≥100μm as raw material. <P>SOLUTION: The viscosity regulator is obtained by using grains made of the xanthan gum having a fine granular size. The viscosity regulator is made in view of the following problem: patients having difficulty in mastication and swallowing require such a viscosity regulator as to be easily dissolved without using any beater and therefore it is necessary to impart viscosity to all the food not only water or tea. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
