PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately decode a received remote control through-out signal and accurately execute the operation of a reception apparatus. SOLUTION: This remote control apparatus includes a remote control signal through-out unit configured such that the apparatus detects either of the leading edge and the trailing edge of the received remote control signal, activates the remote control through-out signal by receiving the remote control signal, starts the measurement of a inactive time of the remote control through-out signal as soon as the remote control through-out signal is activated and deactivates the remote control through-out signal when a preset time comes.
