PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel capable of improving luminous efficiency and luminance and of reducing reactive power. SOLUTION: This plasma display panel 100 includes: a rear substrate 110; a front substrate 120, a plurality of barrier ribs 128 arranged between the front substrate 120 and the rear substrate 110 and adapted to define a plurality of discharge cells 130 along with the rear substrate 110 and the front substrate 120; a plurality of pairs of first discharge electrodes 114 and second discharge electrodes 115 discharging while being extended in parallel to each other and surrounding the discharge cells 130 arranged in one direction; address electrodes 113 surrounding the discharge cells 130 and extended in a direction that crosses the extension direction of the first discharge electrodes 114 and the second discharge electrodes 115; phosphor layers 126 arranged within the discharge cells 130; and a discharge gas arranged within the discharge cells 130. A predetermined number of sub-pixels form each unit pixel, and at least the unit pixels adjacent to each other in one direction are spaced apart from each other by a predetermined distance.
