PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable printing over the whole surface of a flexible printed board whereon an electronic component is installed. SOLUTION: The respective portions of an elastic squeegee 7, a scraper 8, etc. corresponding to protuberant parts of a screen plate 11 are depressed so as to avoid the contact with these parts. Printing paste 2 is supplied onto the screen plate at printing positions and the scraper 8 scoops up the printing paste on the screen plate 11 after printing is completed. In this state, the whole rises integrally and returns to the direction of the original position. Two paste application devices 1 and 12 thus constituted are used in a set. In the screen plate 11, protuberant parts 11A covering the electronic components installed on the flexible printed board are formed at the portions corresponding to the electronic components, while pattern holes 11B and 11C are formed at the opposite end parts in the width direction of the screen plate between the protuberant parts 11A and outside these parts 11A.
