Methods of cementing in subterranean formations are provided. An example of a method is a method comprising: providing a set-delayed cement composition comprising: water, and a cementitious component consisting essentially of: hydrated lime, and silica; placing the set-delayed cement composition into a subterranean formation; and allowing the set-delayed cement composition to set in the subterranean formation.
