<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compliant pin surely mountable to a through hole of a circuit board for a long period of time, highly reliable, reusable and economical, and easy to manufacture while having high dimensional precision, and an electrical component using it. <P>SOLUTION: In this compliant pin 6, a press-fit part 12 having elasticity is provided, and a plated layer 104 is formed on its inner surface. It is prevented from being pulled out by elastic deformation of the press-fit part 12, if it is press-fitted in the through hole 102 of the circuit board 100.
