PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact/non-contact type integrated detecting switch which, while keeping a contact type detecting function of an excellent reliability, has a non-contact type detecting function before contacting a work piece as well. SOLUTION: A cord switch 10 has two electrode wires 1, 1 installed spirally with a predetermined clearance in between in a longitudinal direction along the inside of a cross-sectional hollow insulator 3 having an air gap 5, a conductive layer 7 is coated over the outer surface of the cross-sectional hollow insulator 3, and slits 9, 9 are provided to two parts at the end of the conductive layer 7.
