PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-repellent, oil-repellent composition that imparts soil resistance, water repellency and oil repellency to the surface of recording paper in order to prevent characters, figures, etc., on the recording paper, printed or transferred by a printer or copying machine, from being soiled or wet, and to provide a processing method using the water-repellent, oil-repellent composition. SOLUTION: An organic acid metal salt compound is mixed in a water-soluble fluorine water-repellent, oil-repellent compound in a fixed proportion. The mixture is applied to the surface of recording paper, and the paper is processed at a low temperature in a short time.
