PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pen felt of a writing utensil with a properly modified surface as a pen refill which is interposed between an ink tank and a pen point and retains an ink temporarily in accordance with a pressure change, with such advantages that a processed film is uniformly thin, notwithstanding its simplified process without passing through a dangerous process such as a chromate intermixing treatment, the wetting properties to the ink are satisfactory, the ink retaining force is excellent even under a change in the pressure of the ink tank, no dripping and abnormal intake of the ink occurs and the writing follow-up properties of the ink are good. SOLUTION: This pen felt has its surface covered with a copolymer containing vinyl acetate and acrylic acid ester. Also the processing method of the pen felt is provided. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
