PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent penetration of water from the outside in an oil box for housing an apparatus for shedding driving of a water jet loom. SOLUTION: A waterproof apparatus in the apparatus for shedding driving of the water jet loom comprises the oil box 25 for housing the apparatus 21 for shedding driving of a heald frame 3 arranged on the side of a floor surface on the outside of a loom frame 1 and a first inner cover 28a and a second inner cover 28b composed of a double cover for preventing oil scattering provided in the oil box 25. The lower ends of the first and second inner covers 28a and 28b are arranged on the inside of the outer surface of a sidewall of the oil box 25. An outer cover 30 covering the the first and the second inner covers 28a and 28b is provided and the lower end of the outer cover 30 is arranged on the outside of the sidewall 27 of the oil box 25 and formed so as to hang down on the lower side of the upper end of the sidewall.
