A system and method for managing a sound source file of a sound source reproducing device are provided to provide a stable sound source providing service by effectively managing sound source files through statistical information related sound source reproduction. A sound source disk backup unit(120) stores a statistical file related to the supply of sound sources to an MSC(Mobile Switching Center)(30) from a sound source reproducing unit(110). A statistics server(140) periodically collects and analyzes statistical files of the sound source disk backup unit(120) to determine the reproduction order of each sound source. A sound source management server(130) receives information on the reproduction order from the statistics server(140), generates sound source group files within a certain ranking, downloads the sound source group files within the certain ranking, and delete other sound source files from the sound source reproducing unit(110).
