2,3-BENZODIAZEPINE DERIVATIVES AND THEIR USE AS AMPA-RECEPTOR INHIBITORS

The invention concerns compounds of formula (I), in which: X designates hydrogen or halogen; Y designates -NR3- or -N=; R1, R2 and R3 designate hydrogen or different substituents; R4 designates optionall y substituted C1-C6 alkyl; R5 designates hydrogen; or R4 and R5 together designate oxygen; R6 designates C1-C4 alkyl; and (a) designates a double bond or single bonds. Owing to their non-competitive inhibiting of the AMPA receptors, these compounds can be used as medicaments for treating diseases of the central nervous system.
