A plasma display panel and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve a defect of a terminal part of an address electrode by removing an unnecessary space among a first substrate, a second substrate, a driver IC package, and an ACF(Anisotropic Conductive Film). A first substrate(1) includes address electrodes, a dielectric layer for covering the address electrodes, barrier ribs formed on the dielectric layer, discharge cells defined by the barrier ribs, and a phosphor layer formed within each of the discharge cells. A second substrate(11) includes sustain electrodes, scan electrodes, a transparent dielectric layer for covering the sustain electrodes and the scan electrodes, and a protective layer coated on the transparent dielectric layer. The first and second substrates are attached to each other by using a seal frit(21). The seal frit is filled into a space among the first substrate, the second substrate, a driver IC package(24), and an ACF(25). A silicon adhesive(28) is filled into a space between the ACF and the first substrate.
