<p>A method for automatically connecting a mobile terminal and an AP(Access Point) in a wireless communication network is provided to allow a mobile terminal to perform more connection attempts to an AP at a time zone during which there is high probability that the mobile terminal can be connected with the AP. A mobile terminal attempts a connection to an AP previously registered for an automatic connection(300). When it is connected with the AP, the mobile terminal stores a time zone during which it is connected with the AP and gives a certain weight value to the time zone(302,304). The mobile terminal repeatedly performs the above operation for a pre-set arbitrary time(306). The mobile terminal checks the weight value given according to a connection state with the AP at each time zone and provides a chance of attempting a connection to the AP according to the weight value(308). The mobile terminal attempts a connection to the AP according to a connection pattern of each time zone(310), and when it is connected with the AP, the mobile terminal does not perform connection attempt anymore(312).</p> |
