The method involves inserting a head (305) of a braking force transmission rod (304) in a cylinder (312) that is integrated with a body (302) of a brake pedal. The head and the cylinder are relatively moved with respect to each other. A circular opening (320) is provided on the body of the pedal so as to allow accessing a side (322) of the cylinder on which a female socket (324) is machined. The cylinder has a circular opening (326) with a diameter greater than that of the head.
