The device (20) has a passage openings for a liquid jet e.g. fuel, coming from a filling nozzle (9) in order to split the liquid jet and to create an air aspiration effect in the liquid jet, where the device is a grid. The grid is disposed across a fuel tank filling pipe (13) and opposite to the liquid jet introduced in the filling pipe. The grid is a plane plate extending transversally to a longitudinal axis of the filling pipe, where the filling pipe includes an inner stopper (17) against which an end of the filling nozzle is supported. An independent claim is also included for a method for limiting untimely stopping of the distribution of a liquid jet.
