<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector with extremely low height for a FPC (Flexible Printed Circuit), which can reduce occupying area on a printed board. <P>SOLUTION: A housing 2 of the connector in which a recess 21 for inserting the FPC 1 is formed, and contacts 31 and 32 are arranged, is attached to the printed board 5. Supported end side portions of fixed arms 31a and 32a are fixed to the housing 2, and tip side portions of them have contacts 31e and 32e which extend from the housing 2 and contact closely to the printed board 5. Elastic arms 31b and 32b have contacts which extend on a bottom surface of the recess 21 and contact to the FPC 1. In the printed board 5, an insertion room 51 having an opening on a surface of a board thickness side is formed. A part of the housing 2 including the recess 21 is held in the insertion room 51, and the FPC 1 can be inserted in the recess 21 surrounded by the insertion room 51. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
