<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To integrally provide a pillar garnish for a curtain airbag device which covers a window section on the side of an automobile, and at the same time, to improve the workability of the attaching work to the car body. <P>SOLUTION: A first pillar garnish 21 is attached to the front end side of an air bag 1 which is folded into a thin and long shape, and a third pillar garnish 23 is attached to the rear end side of the airbag 1. The pillar garnishes 21 and 23 are equipped with an inner cover, a garnish main body 43, and a connecting piece section which connects the inner cover and the garnish body 43. When the inner cover is attached to the airbag 1, the inner cover holds the folded shape of the airbag 1. The connecting piece section is freely bendable by providing a hinge section. Under a state in which the garnish main body 43 is moved downward, an attaching piece section 32 of the airbag 1 can easily be attached to the car body 3. Respective pillar garnishes 21 and 23 are constituted in such a manner that they do not cover the total length of the airbag 1, but cover only the end section of the airbag 1, and therefore, the workability can be improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
