<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple volume reducing treatment method for a molding of a thermoplastic resin such as polystyrene which can be used in a home and a simple treatment implement used for the method. <P>SOLUTION: In the method, the thermoplastic resin molding is mounted on a mounting plate non-tacky to the thermoplastic resin, and the molding is heated at a temperature of at least the softening point of the resin to reduce the volume of the molding on the mounting plate. The method is implemented by the volume reducing treatment implement comprising the mounting plate (for example, comprising a saucer and a baffle) on which the molding is mounted and which is non-tacky to the resin and a means for heating the mounted molding. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
