PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear motor in which the deformation of a mover caused by thermal unbalance in the right and left direction can be prevented without causing increase in the number of components and in the manhour required for manufacture. SOLUTION: The linear motor comprises a stator arranged with a plurality of permanent magnets on the inside of a pair of yokes arranged oppositely, and a mover equipped with an armature winding portion through a substrate and arranged movably between the pair of yokes wherein the mover is provided with a reinforcing member for preventing deformation thereof due to thermal impact.
