MODULAR INTERCHANGEABLE FLOOR MATS

A modular interchangeable floor mat (10) includes a mat frame (20, 120, 220) and a mat insert (70, 170). The mat frame includes a central portion having a plurality of integrally formed upwardly-extending hooked nibs (42) and a peripheral edge (30). The mat insert includes a hook-retaining material (90, 92) defining a bottom surface. The hook-retaining material may include a nonwoven material (90) or a reticulated foam (92). The plurality of upwardly-extending hooked nibs of the mat frame is engageable with the hook-retaining material of the mat insert. The mat frame may also include a plurality of integrally formed downwardly-depending nibs (44, 46) or ridges (240).
