<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor, capable of adequately cutting the power supply to a fingerprint sensor in the event of abnormality in the fingerprint sensor or in the event of abnormality in the communicating state with the fingerprint sensor. <P>SOLUTION: This information processor comprises an HDD 208, the fingerprint sensor 21, and a CPU 201 or BIOS-ROM 210 monitoring the communicating state between a program and the fingerprint sensor 21.
