An LCD back light unit using an LED(light emitting diode) is provided to improve the light emitting efficiency and decrease the number of green light sources used in the LCD back light unit and power consumption by emitting green light through a UV LED. An LCD back light unit includes a blue light source(40), a red light source(20), and a green light source(30). The green light source includes a first UV LED and a green phosphor excited to light emitted from the first UV LED. The blue, red, and green light sources are substantially formed at the same rate, and currents applied to the blue, red, and green light sources are substantially equal to each other. |
