TERMINATION METHOD OF SUPERCONDUCTING CABLE

There is provided a method for terminating a superconducting cable having a former made by stranding a plurality of insulation-coated strands, and a superconducting layer (a superconducting conductor layer) arranged on the outside thereof. The method comprises following steps and improves linearity of the former. (1) A step for un-stranding the strands at the end of the former. (2) A step for removing the insulation-coating of the strands. (3) A step for re-stranding the strands from which the insulation coating is removed. (4) A step for correcting rectilinearity at the end of the re-stranded former.
