<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moistureproofing coating agent which imparts moistureproofness to various substrates and to provide an article which uses the coating agent, is made moistureproof by a method advantageous in economy and resource saving, and copes with practical and environmental problems. <P>SOLUTION: The moistureproofing coating agent is one comprising a urethane, a wax, and a liquid medium, wherein 10 to 1,000 pts.mass wax is contained per 100 pts.mass urethane. The waterproofing composition is the coating agent devoid of the liquid medium.
