PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oligocarbonate polyol having a viscosity of less than 15,000 mPa s at room temperature, and an excellent compatibility with a (poly)isocyanate. SOLUTION: The aliphatic oligocarbonate polyol is prepared by the synthesis from a polyol ingredient which contains to a 1-99 mol% a diol of Formula (I), based on the polyol ingredient, and further contains an aliphatic polyol, which brings and, as a result, contains the total of the diol expressed by Formula (I) and the aliphatic polyol in an amount reaching 100 mol%. In Formula (I), n is an integral number from 1 to 50; m is an integral number from 1 to 20; R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>may be a straight, a cyclic, or a branched alkyl group, and optionally may be an unsaturated alkyl group; and (X)<SB>m</SB>is a carbon-containing group whose carbon chain may be interrupted by a heteroatom.
