<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an erroneous operation in abnormality processing in a distributed system in which modules operate with independent sequences. <P>SOLUTION: The system has the operation sequences for operation modules separated into a imaging module, a paper feeding module, a transfer module and a fixing module so that each of the modules operates independently; a communication means for communicating each of the modules; and a means for downloading the sequences for each module via a control line by a predetermined method. The system is provided with a shared data region for abnormality processing to be commonly used between the modules. When an abnormality occurs, a module having the abnormality is written into the shared data region for abnormality processing to apply write protection to that module, and when the abnormality processing is completed, the protection is released to release an error state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
