PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing circuit with which scatter of toner called tailing is avoided. SOLUTION: The image processing circuit is characterized in that it has: an image memory capable of holding image data of a plurality of lines; and a reference window for capturing data from the image memory and storing image data of a plurality of DOTs in a horizontal scanning direction and the plurality of lines in a vertical scanning direction, wherein the image data of the reference window can shift the image data for each CLOCK in the horizontal scanning direction and the reference window can shift lines to be captured for each horizontal scanning signal, and is characterized in that the image processing circuit has a pattern for image judgment and has a circuit which can perform collation, i.e. matching with the reference window and judges whether a pixel of interest in the reference window is to be replaced, and the pixel replacement can be carried out when it is judged that the pixel is to be replaced.
