PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless transmission apparatus and a burst transmission method thereof capable of improving the efficiency of burst transmission in a MIMO unique mode communication. SOLUTION: The wireless transmission apparatus utilizing the MIMO communication includes: a channel matrix recording section 405 to which a channel matrix by each received packet estimated from a received packet with predetermined contents is recorded; a channel matrix variation prediction section 406 that predicts variations in the channel matrices on the basis of the recorded channel matrices; and a burst transmission control section 407 that applies burst transmission to transmitted packets while revising a modulation system of the transmitted packet and/or a coding rate of an error correction code according to an instruction from the channel matrix variation prediction section 406.
