The invention relates to a method for the optimization of a stereoscopic image, wherein at least two partial images (1.1, 1.2) of an object (0) are captured from different capture points and the partial images (1.1, 1.2) are converted such that corresponding partial image points (TP1.1, TP1.2) of the two partial images (1.1., 1.2) coincide at a point in space relative to a coordinate and a disparity is calculated to correspond to a deviation between coordinate values, with reference to which a disparity image (DB) is generated with corresponding image points (BP). According to the invention, disparity values (d_mess) for adjacent image points (BP) are processed with reference to a smoothing term (EG) and a smoothed disparity image (DB2) is generated. |
