The walls of the armor sheets (10,11) are so angled or curved that no two parts stand parallel to adjacent to one another. The protective elements can be plugged or telescopically joined to one another to form a building roof or container or again free-standing protection for a building. The parts fit together to project beyond top, bottom or sides of object and the inner part (11) is flat as against the outer part (10) which is made up of vertical strips directed to and from the inner wall part. The inner wall part (11) has additional armor sheet strips (12) behind the edges of the outer wall part.
