The seat (5) has a backrest (7) folding on a base (9) and comprising a head-rest (13) and comprising a front face and a back face. The seat places the head-rest in a support position of a head when the backrest is deployed. The seat places the head-rest in another support position of an elbow when the backrest is folded back such that the head-rest comprises a head support face (17) and an elbow support face, where the support faces are lifted relative to a rear face of the backrest. The head-rest is fixed on the backrest via a fixing rod (19). An independent claim is also included for a car.
