PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an awning device which supplies and projects a sunshade screen for closing an opening of a building, wherein the awning device facilitates its operation from inside a room, and can project the sunshade screen with a large overhanging length. SOLUTION: According to the structure of the awning device, by operating an operating chain 19 from inside the room, a roll 3 is rotated by means of a rotational mechanism 5 to supply the sunshade screen 4. The sunshade screen is supplied according to lowering of arms 6 until the arms 6 abut on respective stoppers 9, but upon abutment of the arms 6 on the stoppers 9, the self weight of each of the arms 6 becomes null, and therefore the arms are rotated by a spring force of springs in the respective arms 6, and the sunshade screen 4 is projected.
